Again, my marketer Callum has said, the content looks good but you need to get more bits in about Financial Planning and Recruitment. Damn you Callum, I just want to live my life, SEO isn’t life and your phrase YOLO SEO acronym will never catch on!
So, anyway, recently I have been living my best life trying to live like Shane Ritchie, who is someone I have huge respect for, for one reason.
When on “I’m a Celeb” he said that whenever he doesn’t want to do a job he doesn’t say no, but gives a ridiculous figure and then they say “no”. So, he’s got out of it, but puts the emphasis on them. I’m usually a lot more direct with things, but I like it nonetheless.
Now this backfired when his agent told him that Daz had come knocking, Shane Ritchie didn’t want to do the job so said to his agent he would do it on the basis that it was for £500,000.
No way would they accept that surely, this was the 90’s. Half a million is a lot of money now , never mind back then. They agreed to it and the rest is history as you can see from the picture.
Now, my link to recruitment is when doing my job I now look out for anything that smells a little like Daz. What I mean by that is when usually a prospective job hunter raises their expectations from the conversation that was had initially, I try to find out whether it is whether they are just not interested. I make it clear that I don’t mind someone saying no. There is usually an underlying reason why expectations get raised and usually it is because they just don’t want the job. Not always the case, but usually in my opinion.
Almost forgot; Financial Planner, Financial Planning, IFA jobs.
